ProductionWhen I embarked on dubbing my acclaimed VELU NACHIYAR Musical Theatre Production from Tamil to Hindi, I received many recommendations for writers. However, from my first interaction with Mr. Sanjay Shah—a talented journalist, renowned writer, and brilliant poet—I was captivated by his linguistic prowess and integrity.
Along with the late composer Iqbal Darbar Bhai, he introduced me to exceptional singers and dubbing artists, and for nearly 15 days in Mumbai, he supported me with great affection, proving to be an invaluable collaborator, friend, and brother. His patience and enthusiasm in revising according to my requests showed that he is truly an “Author for the Director,” leaving me deeply impressed.
Mr. Sanjay Shah has transcreated all the Tamil songs of the grand musical Tamnil play VELU NACHIYAR in Hindi. The play has 16-18 songs in all.
If my VELU NACHIYAR production shines in Hindi today, it is thanks to the significant contributions of my esteemed friend, Sanjay Shah. I offer him my heartfelt congratulations and pray for his continued success.
